4Stop integrates biometric identity verification from Jumio to improve KYC process

4Stop (FourStop GmbH) has entered a strategic partnership with Jumio to integrate its identity verification service with certified liveliness detection to improve 4Stop’s KYC, compliance, and anti-fraud solutions, the company announced.

Under the partnership, 4Stop aims to simplify the process of managing ongoing KYC data services companies have to deal with online fraud prevention and regulatory obligations. The company mines information, managed services, data, software and know-how to create a data hub of technology, compliance, KYB, and KYC data services that can be accessed through a single API. The partnership with Jumio will enables document identity verification compliant with PSD2 and deliver Strong Customer Authentication (SCA).

Jumio’s biometric authentication solution that leverages 3D face map technology won the ‘Best use of biometrics’ category in the Payments Awards 2019, the company announced today. Jumio Authentication uses iBeta Level 1 and Level 2-certified anti-spoofing technology to take and analyze facial images taken with 2D smartphone cameras or webcams. Jumio then creates a 3D face map that has at least 100 times more liveness data than a 2D photo, according to the company.

For the past two years, Jumio focused on automation and invested in a number of projects related to AI, machine learning, optical character recognition (OCR) and biometric technology. The company recently announced major improvements in speed, accuracy and user experience.

“We’re excited about our partnership with Jumio as they are truly a global leader and innovator in AI-powered identity verification,” said Ingo Ernst, CEO, 4Stop. “We strive to integrate only the best KYC data services for our orchestration hub and we are thrilled that our clients can easily leverage Jumio’s premium verification technology with minimal to zero impact on their business operations.”

4Stop’s KYC data-driven orchestration hub was developed to simplify the KYC process and let companies manage risk-based models and SCA obligations to verify customer identity.

“Partnering with 4Stop is a natural fit in order to offer a top-notch online identity verification solution to enterprise-level businesses that prioritize KYC compliance, fraud detection and streamlined user experience,” said Stephen Kearney, Jumio head of worldwide partnerships.
