Ideal Innovations expands facial recognition training offerings

Ideal Innovations Inc. (I-3) has expanded its facial examination training offerings to a full lineup including three new courses to address the rapidly changing dynamics of the biometric field, between real-world events and evolving requirements, the company has announced.

The new courses include a specialized Police Chiefs and Administrators Course meant for executives, non-technical policymakers and communications professionals, a two-day Facial Examination Introductory Course to cover the basic elements of facial examination, and a two-day Facial Examination Refresher Course that distills the most important elements of I-3’s five-day technical offering. The full five-day Facial Examination Training Course has been offered by I-3 since 2015, providing a detailed examination of the science and technology behind facial recognition.

“I-3 recognizes the importance of the emergence of facial recognition as a viable biometric with a host of applications, as well as the potentially far-reaching implications of its use,” comments I-3 CEO Bob Kocher. “We pride ourselves on remaining on the cutting edge from a training, human examiner and policy perspective.”

I-3 and affiliate Secure Planet recently participated in the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).

Secure Planet released a real-time facial recognition product earlier this year, and I-3 announced this summer that it will provide latent fingerprint services to the FBI’s bomb analysis center.
