A series of meetings, workshops and recognitions of achievements in the field of biometrics are coming up at the Darmstadt Biometrics Week 2025. The event runs from September 19 to 26 at Fraunhofer IGD in Darmstadt, Germany. Most of the events are presented in-person and online. Registration is required.

  • German TeleTrusT Biometrics Working Group 
  • EAB-RPC 2025 – Where EU-funded and national biometric research projects are showcased, and cross-sectoral knowledge exchange is fostered
  • Biometrics in Action for Border Management and Fight Against Crime and Terrorism – A special partnership workshop between EAB and CERIS on emerging biometric technologies featuring live demos, scenario-based discussions, and collaborative roundtables featuring practitioners, policymakers, and researchers
  • NIST Training – A training session on biometric performance delivered by NIST expert Patrick Grother, covering key topics like enrolment, attack detection, and quality metrics
  • European Biometrics Awards 2025 – EAB’s annual awards spotlight outstanding contributions to biometrics research in Europe
  • 24th International Conference of the Biometrics Special Interest Group (BIOSIG 2025)
