Sonavation to demonstrate biometric ultrasound fingerprint authentication fob at ISC West

Sonavation has announced that it will be at the ISC West Conference set to take place April 2-4 in Las Vegas, and will be showing off its AXISKEY personal ultrasound fingerprint security authentication device.

According to the company, AXISKEY is a biometric fingerprint authentication device in a key fob form factor that offers “better-than-federal-grade” data encryption, and can be used for securing workplace, social and personal accounts, as well as online identity and transactions.

“ISC West is the place to be for learning and collaborating with the leading pioneers and innovators in the physical security arena, so we are pleased to be there sharing our unique ultrasound biometric technology with fellow industry members,” Robert E. Stewart, Sr., Chief Product Officer for Sonavation said. “In today’s rapidly evolving online security ecosystem, passwords and PINs are antiquated and continue to be an ineffective way to protect our personal identities. We’re looking forward to introducing members of the security market to our new, portable and highly effective solution for seamlessly and securely protecting our transactions and our identities.”

The AXISKEY features a dual-core design with one processor dedicated to biometrics and one for encryption and communication. It also includes Sonavation’s SonicSlide sensor, which the company says uses ultrasound impediography to scan images at five-times the FBI matching resolution standard.

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, Sonavation launched the AXISKEY at the 2014 International Consumers Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

In December 2013, Sonavation joined the FIDO Alliance.
