TBS provides Bank Sohar with biometric time and attendance solution

Touchless Biometric Systems announced that Oman bank Bank Sohar selected its 3DTouchless finger scanning technology to upgrade the time and attendance system for its 30 branches and over 500 staff located throughout Oman.

TBS’ finger scanning technology offers a three-dimensional and contact-free sensor technology that captures the highest possible quantity of fingerprint details to ensure a higher security level than any other biometric system.

The solution scans the whole finger instead of just the fingerprint, ensuring maximum security levels and no wear and tear and thus no degradation of sensor over time also translating into highest durability.

TBS’ partner, United Systems, was able to integrate the TBS solution into Bank Sohar’s existing network with various configuration options and customized to specific customer requirements, such as offering Arabic language on all terminals.

“TBS solution provides easy to access and reliable information,” said Munira Abdulnabi Macki, deputy general manager for HR and corporate support at Bank Sohar.

TBS offers biometric devices and complete solutions for a wide range of biometric applications in access control and time and attendance.

The Swiss biometrics manufacturer has established a strong presence in the Middle East with installations in over 30 government organizations.

Previously reported, telecommunications firm Swisscom selected Touchless Biometric Systems’ 3D touchless terminals to be integrated into Securiton’s full access control system for its newest data center in Switzerland.
