Precise Biometrics’ algorithm solution deployed in new smartphone

Precise Biometrics’ algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile, has been deployed in a smartphone from an unnamed Chinese vendor through cooperation with Synaptics.

Precise BioMatch Mobile is an algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition on smartphones and tablets. The patented hybrid algorithm solution is optimized for small fingerprint sensors and platforms with limited processing power and memory space.

Earlier this year, Synaptics announced a collaboration with TCL Communication to provide fingerprint sensor technology solution to its Alcatel smartphone customers. Precise Biometrics’ algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile, was also integrated in the device.
