Coinone adds iOS biometrics to cryptocurrency exchange app

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinone has announced the launch of its exchange app for iOS devices, following the recent successful rollout of its Android version, to extend its cryptocurrency services to most smartphone users.

The Coinone iOS app fully supports both Face ID and Touch ID, and operates on the principle of one device – one account, according to the announcement.

“The iOS version includes all the know-how gained from launching the Android version, as well as the experience of running the exchange, and focused on improving security, user interface, and design,” said Chan Myung Hun, CEO of Coinone.

The app features optimized chart functions to enable traders to analyze historical data as well as current price information, and also includes “OneTalk,” which provides account and blockchain information and real-time support.

User authentication and security for cryptocurrency wallets and exchanges is a growing market, with Jumio, Penta Security, and Hilltop Cybersecurity all announcing new developments in March.
