Categories Biometrics News  |  Trade Notes

Sunil Madhu, founder and CEO of Socure, will present at next week’s connect:ID conference in Washington, D.C. where he will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence and machine learning on online identity verification and fraud prevention. Madhu has more than 20 years of experience developing technology innovations in analytics, machine learning, and identity/access management.

His presentation will focus on how artificial intelligence and machine learning are “leapfrog technologies”, transforming the way banks, online businesses, and others are interacting with current and prospective customers.

Madhu will explain which AI and machine learning approaches, techniques, and data elements are necessary to produce the most reliable and accurate results. He will also discuss how advances in data science are facilitating a transformational shift in online identification and fraud prevention, and what future impacts they will have on online banking, retail and more.

His presentation, to be held Tuesday, May 1 at 10:50 am ET, will argue that AI and machine learning can far exceed human intelligence and intuition, and can verify the identity of a person on the other end of an online transaction and detect fraud. However, there are limitations, shortcomings and misapplications of data science which can impact results, which he will fully examine during the course of his presentation.
