iProov introduces palm verification solution

iProov has launched its Palm Verifier authentication solution which enables users to use palm biometric verification on any of their personal devices, either as a standalone mode of authentication or as an additional authentication factor.

According to the announcement, users simply hover their palm above their device and Palm Verifier authenticates them in under five seconds. The process is fast, flexible and hygienic and is also easy, intuitive and inclusive to use. For users that don’t find face verification a preferred or an accessible mode of authentication, Palm Verifier offers an anonymous and highly secure authentication experience that can be used in all light conditions.

Palm Verifier is protected by the genuine presence assurance capabilities of iProov’s patented Flashmark technology. Recently endorsed by the UK National Physical Laboratory (NPL), iProov’s Flashmark-based one-time biometrics protect against spoof and replay attacks.

“Our mission is to create a safe and secure digital environment, in which users feel protected and organisations can trust in the genuine presence of their remote customer,” commented Andrew Bud, founder and CEO of iProov.

In November iProov announced its part in a multi-year contract from the UK Home Office for smartphone-based digital identity verification to support the agency’s digital services agenda.
