Sensory facial recognition technology deployed in three new Nokia smartphones

Sensory announced today that Finnish mobile phone company HMD Global has integrated its TrulySecure biometric authentication technology into the Nokia 9 PureView, the Nokia 4.2 and the Nokia 3.2 enabling users to unlock their phones with facial recognition.

TrulySecure is a FIDO Certified solution that can identify and authenticate enrolled users using face biometric recognition technologies in less than a second and differentiate individuals at a 99.999% accuracy rate. TrulySecure features liveness detection and anti-spoofing algorithms and runs completely on device, storing biometric profiles as encrypted irreversible code, and never sends biometric data over the internet.

“Data and device security are extremely important decision factors when it comes to purchasing a smartphone,” explains Todd Mozer, CEO at Sensory. “We’re excited to be working with HMD Global to outfit the latest Nokia smartphones with powerful on-device facial recognition-based authentication. Our technology offers users an extremely convenient means of unlocking their devices and apps, while offering extreme protection against intruders.”

Earlier this month Sensory announced the acquisition of Vocalize.ai, a software tools and services company that performs benchmarking, accuracy assessments and bias evaluations for speech technologies and natural language interfaces.
