Evident ID has announced the introduction of its new Evident360 verification software with comprehensive artificial intelligence-based identity proofing, which the company says can reduce the number of steps in an identity verification process by between 25 and 50 percent.

The company made the announcement ahead of its participation in the Identiverse 2019 event this week in Washington, D.C.

The new Evident360 brings AI and machine learning capabilities to the company’s Identity Assurance Platform, enabling collection, analysis, and verification of data through a single secure solution with increased speed and accuracy for business of all sizes and industries, according to the announcement. The company raised $20 million in a Series B funding round announced in May to increase its AI and machine learning investment and broaden its technical infrastructure.

Evident has also added 5,200 verifiable data attributes to its library, bringing it to more than 12,500. This expands its international scope, and allows attributes like commercial or personal automobile ownership or motorcycle insurance coverage to be verified through a single API.

“As we continue to grow, our customers are expanding how they use the platform, which led us to add more than 5,200 attributes and to develop Evident360,” comments David Thomas, CEO of Evident. “Our customers will enjoy an even faster, easier, and more comprehensive way to verify every aspect of an individual’s identity and credentials and obtain more holistic, accurate results based on authoritative data pulled from more than 6,500 sources.”

Businesses can aggregate all verifiable data into a single source with Evident360 to reduce the steps necessary in the identity verification process, and connect an individual’s verified identity with a wide range of public and private records to confirm key facts with a simple, centralized approach. Unique machine learning capabilities also enable verification data processing at different stages to support different workflows based on the results, to reduce friction while preventing fraud.

“Evident’s increased investment in AI and ML techniques provides unique benefits to our customers and platform,” says Evident Chief Product Officer Nathan Rowe. “We’re focused on delivering verification results with unmatched speed, ease, and precision, and these technologies will allow us to do just that. Fueled by our robust new identity engine, Evident360, Evident’s Identity Assurance Platform is primed to provide the most comprehensive and secure identity verification services available.”
