Jumio and Acuant come up big in the 2019 IT World Awards

Jumio and Acuant have each been named Gold winners of the 2019 IT World Awards. Jumio was honored in the Security Software, Hot Technology and Solution of the Year category while Acuant picked up the gold in the Company of the Year: Security Services category and silver in the Identity and Access Management as a Service (IDaaS) category.

The annual technology awards program recognizes the best in organizational performance, products and services, hot technologies, executives and management teams, successful deployments, product management and engineering, customer satisfaction, and public relations in every area of information technology. Submissions are scored by industry experts to determine the winners.

“As near-daily data breaches continue to expose usernames, passwords and other information on the dark web, traditional methods of authentication can no longer be trusted to authenticate users,” says Robert Prigge, president of Jumio. “Being honored with the Gold IT World Award validates our vision to create a safer digital ecosystem by helping enterprises confirm a user’s true digital identity through face-based authentication.”

“We see that the demand for digital identity verification solutions is only growing as more organizations evolve to digital businesses,” adds Yossi Zekri, Acuant president and CEO. “We believe Acuant has been delivering the fastest and most accurate document authentication on the market and we are excited about forthcoming innovations in our identity platform to continue to offer best in class solutions.”

According to the latest research from Goode Intelligence, digital identity and document verification services will be a $15 billion dollar a year industry by 2024, growing 20 percent from 2019.
