ImageWare appoints new CEO to expand multi-modal biometric and ID management offerings

ImageWare Systems has a new President and CEO, with the appointment of Kristin A. Taylor to lead the company’s efforts to increase earnings and expand its multi-modal biometric authentication and identity management products and platforms.

Outgoing CEO Jim Miller has been appointed Executive Chairman of the Board for the company, with both appointments effective March 2, according to the announcement.

“Kristin’s demonstrated results in leading sizable efforts to drive revenue and growth, her creative vision in reimagining businesses, as well as significant relationships with the global analyst community, are essential to our plans for worldwide recognition as a technology leader in identity management,” comments Miller. “The Board and I are confident in our choice of Kristin to lead ImageWare forward and become the company we all know it can be. I look forward to working with Kristin and continuing my work with ImageWare Systems as Executive Chairman of the Board.”

Taylor brings ImageWare more than twenty years of experience in sales, business development, go-to-market strategies, analysis and public relations for leading global tech companies, the company says. She is considered an expert in strategic analyst relations, the press release states, and recently held executive positions with MediaTek and IBM. Previously, Taylor served a leadership roll in the development of Qualcomm’s first computing product.

“I’m excited to be joining a pioneer in the field of identity management. Since creating the first digital booking platform for US law enforcement nearly 20 years ago, ImageWare has built an unparalleled and patented biometric identity assurance platform used by governments, airlines, national transportation agencies, and enterprises,” says Taylor. “ImageWare has incredible intellectual property, exceptional people and great potential.”

ImageWare recently announced business wins in the financial service and government markets amounting to $1.2 million in revenue.
