CyberLink featuring AIoT retail solutions powered by facial recognition at RetailNOW

CyberLink will be showcasing AIoT solutions powered by its FaceMe facial recognition engine later this month at RetailNOW 2019 in San Antonio, Texas.

The FaceMe facial recognition engine features a 98.5% true acceptance rate with a false acceptance rate of less than 10-6 (0.000001). CyberLink has shrunk its facial recognition model by 98 percent, allowing the technology to be deployed to a wide range of edge devices.

According to the announcement, FaceMe’s cross-platform capabilities support Windows, Linux, Android and iOS for a variety of edge devices with different hardware configurations including digital signage, retail store cameras, CRM solutions, kiosks, access and security systems, and service robots. CyberLink’s facial recognition technology also measures traffic and collects key demographic data to create personalized shopping experiences.

“FaceMe is a key enabler to re-invent brick and mortar retail into delivering a completely new, exciting and customized shopping experience,” says Dr. Jau Huang, CyberLink CEO. “FaceMe’s advanced technology provides one of the world’s most precise, fastest and flexible edge-based facial recognition solutions for digital signage, collection of visitor statistics and personalized shopping. It can help deliver a unique experience to each visitor.”

CyberLink and its partners have already launched pilot programs in retail settings in Taiwan and Japan and expect experiments with stores in America to launch in the next few months.
