Suprema exhibits biometrics tech in Australia, appoints MD for Europe
Suprema is featuring its latest range of biometric security solutions at the Security Exhibition & Conference 2019 this week in Sydney, Australia including the FaceLite facial recognition terminal, 2nd generation fingerprint IP readers and enterprise access control solutions.
FaceLite is a compact facial recognition terminal designed for enterprise access control systems and time and attendance applications. It comes loaded with a 1.2GHz CPU and 8GB memory and features matching speed of up to 30,000 matches per second and accommodates up to 30,000 users.
Suprema is also showcasing CoreStation, a biometrics-based intelligent access controller designed for mid to enterprise-level systems. It can accommodate up to 500,000 users with fingerprint matching speed of up to 400,000 matches per second. CoreStation offers access control functionalities for up to 132 access points, and with the BioStar 2 security platform, provides biometric readiness and Ethernet communications. The device also provides centralized biometric template management and interfaces with a complete set of reader technologies including RS-485 and Wiegand.
New managing director for Suprema Europe
Suprema announced today that it has appointed Baudoin Genouville managing director for Suprema Systems GmbH, responsible for Suprema’s pan-European and North African operations. Genouville will lead local sales and technical support teams in Germany and France, and is expected to play a key role in marketing and public relations across Europe.
Genouville joined Suprema in 2013 and has since been involved in technical alliances with major security manufacturers, and played a strategic role in Suprema’s recent global rollout and growth in the enterprise market. Genouville has relocated back to Europe from South Korea to further grow Suprema’s local partner network and its presence in national security industries.
In its announcement, Suprema noted that it plans to expand its UK and Pan-European footprints to improve localized sales, marketing and technical support services. Earlier this year the Seoul, Korea-based company appointed Jamie McMillen as Managing Director of Suprema Systems UK Ltd for the United Kingdom and Ireland market.
Last month Suprema added extensive content about its latest developments, products and services to its website in Spanish, French, German and Japanese to better serve its global customer base.
