Biometrics providers to demo, discuss AI-induced shift in IDV landscape

Digital identity verification has been growing at a robust rate for years, but the technology needed to do it securely has changed. An online seminar on Thursday, January 8 at 11:00am Eastern addresses how the IDV market has changed, and what technology buyers can do about it.

A quick photo of an ID document and a selfie for face biometrics comparison is no longer sufficient, as deepfakes and biometric injection attacks have undermined each stage of the process. The result is a spike in account takeover (ATO) attacks and ballooning fraud damages to businesses and consumers alike.

The 2025 Digital Identity Verification Market Report and Buyers Guide from Biometric Update and Goode Intelligence forecasts revenues from identity verification to grow by 11.8 percent between 2025 and 2027.

Goode Intelligence Founder and Principal Analyst Alan Goode will share key themes and insights from the report.

Experts from Authsignal, Innovatrics, Oz Forensics and Daon and Yoti, five among nearly 50 providers of identity verification technology profiled in the report, will join the presentation to demonstrate their software and answer questions from attendees.

The report also includes analysis of the market forces shaping identity verification, from sophisticated AI-powered fraud to emerging standards and shifting regulations, guidance on how the technology is changing and a 12-point checklist of capabilities to look for in an identity verification supplier.
