In our Inverid sessions, we have discussed numerous examples of remote identity verification. Lately, we have seen a growing number of applications where the combination of remote identity verification with physical interaction is key – think of digital travel credentials, registration for access control, and pre-registration for the European Entry/Exit system. In this session, we will explore these types of use cases in more detail.

We are pleased to have from UK Eurostar General Secretary and Chief Strategic Partnerships Officer Gareth Williams. We discuss how pre-registration for Eurostar with the SmartCheck app has helped to create a seamless journey experience at London St. Pancras, and how these experiences can be extended into other border crossing use cases.

In the studio, we are joined by Koos Verhave, CCO of Inverid partner AMP Group. They combine remote identity verification with on-site identity verification, as well as with the delivery of sensitive goods (like medication). Next to this, we will discuss recent developments in the European Entry/Exit System, where remote identity verification can simplify logistic challenges and create a seamless journey.
